Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name for Winona Laura Hoowitz. She was born in Winona Minnesota. Parents of Winona Ryder gave her the name of the town she grew up in. Both her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's father was born into an ethnically Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. Uria is Ryder's younger sister. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are the half siblings of Ryder. Ryder's parents relocated her and their children in Mendocino County California when Ryder was seven years old. The family lived in a place without electric power. Ryder was a voracious reading book because there was no TV. Ryder began to take acting classes at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 at the age of 12. At the age of 15, Ryder landed her first part on screen, in Lucas. Ryder was bullied in high school. Her thought was that by becoming an actor, her bullying would be changed. But, unfortunately, that didn't happen. Still, she pursued her goal. It was 1988 in the year Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that she got her big break. Ryder played successful roles for various films. Two Academy Awards were nominated, one for The Age of Innocence (1996).
